Alaska White granite is a coarse to very coarse-grained, beige-grey Phlegmatic of the Precambrian period. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite however in the area of application of the European Standard, this stone must be nominated as a Phlegmatic. A small sample of Alaska White granite is not representative having a wide variation in color and veining. Swatch samples are necessary for large projects. That is necessary to ensure that the blocks are all extracted from the same quarry face for matching purposes.
To fill A clear epoxy resin filler any micro fissures or tiny pitting during the polishing process however this does not affect the integrity of the stone, it merely provides an even smoother surface finish.Is suitable for both interior and exterior use furthermore is frost resistant and with a constant polish.
Surface Finish: Alaska White Granite looks best with a gloss polished surface. It is also available as honed, leather/satin, river-washed/antique, thermal/flamed, brushed and sandblast finish.
Sealing: Test with a small sample. Alaska White granite is compatible with a sealant. Excessive attempts at sealing it could actually create a residue film build-up.
Block Sizes: This is a quarry yielding select-able, grades of granite with blocks suitable for gang saw size down to economical tile-sized blocks. For commercial projects it is important to select blocks that are from the same quarry face.
