Things to Consider When Picking a Countertop Contractor

We are a family-run business and have small overhead compared to companies with managers on top of managers.

Getting the perfect countertops for your kitchen is a significant investment. But it’s not just the material you choose that matters. The contractor you hire to install it is just as important. An inexperienced or careless contractor may damage your countertops or make mistakes that lead to more problems, costing you even more money in the long run.

So, how do you find the right contractor? There are a few important things you should consider.

Additionally, we’ve prepared an article on the “ Best Countertop Companies “. Discover more about them and find your favorite.

Experience

Marble Unlimited has more than twenty-five years of experience, and it’s simple and easy to get a quote. Just fill out the online form, letting us know some of the details of your project. The estimate is completely free, and you’ll hear from us quickly so you can make a decision. Give us a call if you prefer talking to someone directly.

Reputation

Never hire a countertop contractor that doesn’t have extensive experience and a top-rated reputation to match. Ask around with friends and family, and look at reviews online. You need a company with years of experience to ensure you can find out as much as you can about their reputation.

Accountability

Always choose a countertop contractor that offers a lowest-price guarantee. Marble Unlimited provides the best prices with the highest quality products and installation because of how they do business. We cut out the middleman, directly sourcing stone and materials.

Location

You must choose a contractor that serves your area. Marble Unlimited serves Hillsborough, North Carolina, and the surrounding area. If you live in this beautiful area of North Carolina, you can’t go wrong choosing Marble Unlimited for your countertop fabrication and installation.

Inventory

Make life easier by choosing a countertop contractor with a large existing inventory. This means it’ll be easy to look at all the options and select the one that works best for you. It also means that your contractor will have a strong understanding of your specific material and how to install it correctly.

Marble Unlimited keeps an impressive inventory of slabs in a variety of materials, including marble, quartzite, granite, and quartz.

Efficiency

Once you’ve made a decision on the countertop you want and found the right contractor, you want to get it done pronto. Marble Unlimited has the process down pat—so much so they do more than a whopping 1,000 counter fabrications and installations each and every year.

Marble Unlimited uses state-of-the-art technology that means it can install your brand new countertops within as few as five days. Our measure-to-install timeline ranges from five to ten business days in most cases.

Custom Installation

You need a countertop contractor that offers custom installation. There’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to countertops. Marble Unlimited will give you the perfect custom installation, plus they’ll help you choose the right countertop material for your needs, preferences, and budget.

If you’re like most homeowners, you may be tempted to choose a countertop material based on appearance and style alone. While these are important factors, you’ve also got to remember your lifestyle and other practical considerations.

What If You Choose the Wrong Contractor?

One of the reasons it’s so important to choose a great contractor is the potential consequences if you choose the wrong one. Remember, installation is just as important as material quality when it comes to countertops.

Just a few of the problems you could end up with include damage to structural components in your kitchen, damage to plumbing, and splitting of wood in your cabinets. If your countertops are improperly installed, the stone you’ve invested in could get seriously damaged. Also, you could find yourself with loose countertops in a few years and have to get them re-installed.

Which Countertop Material Should You Choose?

One of the best features of an experienced countertop contractor is how they’ll help you choose the right countertop material. When you choose Marble Unlimited as your contractor, we’ll guide you through the options.

Marble, quartzite, quartz, and granite all have their own features and benefits. The one you go with should depend on your kitchen and your needs and preferences.

They are very professional and efficient in scheduling appointments and delivering final product in very short time. Very much recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent communication on when the work would occur, actual arrival on time, excellent workmanship and attention to detail on the job. Benito kept me aware of what he was doing, why he needed to pause work ( overheated polisher), really wanted to make the countertops better, not just checking the box. 10/10, highly recommend

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Both my bath countertops were previously polished by a different company. They were left dull with lots of scratches. I recently spilled some vinegar on one causing etching. MarbleLife sent their technician, Seth, to repolish/seal the marble & now it looks better than new. No etching, no scratches and beautifully smooth & reflective. Seth did a tremendous job. He left the rooms very clean. Highly recommend this company.
