Granite

This is a great surface to use for a kitchen or bathroom countertop and is the most affordable option we carry. We stock many colors and styles of full slabs of granite that is 3cm or 1 ¼ inch thick. Granite is a stain, scratch and heat resistance surface that is suitable for interior or exterior installation. All Marble Unlimited countertops come sealed during installation and should be resealed every 5-10 years depending on use and application.

Marble

This is a beautiful surface to use in your home. It may be more maintenance with sealing and possible etch removal. Marble Unlimited installs several kitchens a week for customers that love the marble look. You should be aware that you will need to apply sealer every 6th months or more depending on use. This is a heat resistance surface.

Quartzite

This is the best surface for Countertop as it is stain, heat and scratch resistant and very strong. This is a more expensive option usually, but the colors and patterns are extraordinary and some of the colors are translucent. This allows for LED back lighting to make the stone light up from within.

Quartz

This is a great surface to use for a kitchen or bathroom countertops. This is a manufactured slab of quartz mixed with resins. This is a great surface for someone looking for a solid color or a marble looking top with less maintenance. The slabs tend to be very consistent in colors. This is not a good surface for heat or excessive water due to the resins.

Soapstone & Others

Nonporous and durable surface. Soapstone is impervious to heat, chemicals and etching but could stain or scratch. Soapstone is not as hard as granite and is more pliable. That means it is less brittle, so it won’t crack unexpectedly from stress, weight or heat. In addition, soapstone is very non-porous, another important strength that sets it apart from granite, sandstone and slate. It doesn’t require the sealing that those materials do, and it is far less likely to stain when wine or oil are spilled onto it.
